Launched during the 3rd UN Ocean Conference (UNOC3) in Nice in 2025, the Ocean Rise & Coastal Resilience Coalition elevates the priorities and perspectives of coastal cities in addressing the impacts of sea-level rise on populations, infrastructure, livelihoods, culture and biodiversity.

The Ocean Rise & Coastal Resilience Coalition

The Coalition brings together coastal cities across regions and continents to advance partnerships, knowledge exchange, innovative solutions, and access to climate financing for locally-led action in the face of rising seas. It leads the contribution of coastal cities to the implementation of the UN Declaration on Sea-Level Rise, ensuring that their realities, priorities, and solutions are reflected in the global response.
Enabled by the Global Centre for Climate Mobility, the Coalition places coastal cities at the core of the global and institutional response to sea-level rise, strengthening their role as key actors in shaping resilient, inclusive, and locally anchored solutions.
